Welcome to the Sligo Sudbury School members only blog. This is an online space we have created to enable our community to stick together while we are apart.
As self-directed learners we trust that our students are continuing to enjoy pursuing their own interests at home with their families or alone. We also understand that being home alone, isolated from your friends for a long time can be difficult in some ways, so we are trying to find the best way to keep us all in touch with each other through this time.
As in school, participation is optional and you are free to join in the way that interests you. We have 4 ways you can do this:
- join in regular “inter-activities” on ZOOM with other students and school staff members
- share and find useful resources and reliable links for families to access (organised by interest area)
- share what students are doing at home during this time
- get help with projects or finding resources, just as you would in school by emailing info@sligosudburyschool.com
Another great resource for parents to communicate directly is the parent whats app group. If you have not already joined the group but would like to join now, you can message Julie 087 2035423 to ask to be added.

International Community
A number of Sudbury Schools around the world are interested in organising meetups on Zoom to get to know one another. Any students interested in this please let us know so we can connect you.
